Fifty places, for the mermaids who open the directory.

Mermaid Universe is a worldwide directory for professional mermaids, mermen, underwater models, performers and the people who work with them. The first 50 member pages are free for their first year. We are inviting professional mermaids first, and places are filled in the order sign-ups arrive.

What a founding member gets

A professional page, built for you

  • Your own page with a main photo and four more, each with a caption and photographer credit
  • Your bio and CV: what you do, your training and certifications, your experience and credits, and where you work
  • One clickable link to your site, socials or booking page
  • A contact button. Visitors write to you through the site, and your email is never shown
  • Your photo beside your name in the directory, ahead of free listings
  • A seasonal check-in counter that shows the month you started
  • First in line for features in the Mermaid Universe Quarterly, and a place on the casting register for the Mermaid Movie
  • Built and kept up to date by us. Send changes any time; they go live on the 5th, 15th and 25th of each month

The terms, in plain words

Free for a year, then yours to keep

  • The free year runs from the month you sign up to the end of the month before it, a year later. Sign up in November 2026 and your page is free until the end of October 2027.
  • After that, keep your page and your counter for €18 a year. If you stop, your page goes back to a free listing.
  • Add-ons, such as more photos, more links or a showreel, are optional and charged at the usual yearly prices.
  • Every 90 days you check in as current or on pause. A pause keeps your page up and your year running.
  • Rather pay from the start? Members who pay from day one take a paid founding place and carry a founder's badge on their page.
  • Members must be 18 or over.

How to claim your place

Four steps, and we do the building

  1. Sign up

    Fill in the directory sign-up form and tick "Founding member". It takes about two minutes.

  2. We confirm

    We email you to confirm your place, with a short form for your page details: your bio, CV, link and photo captions.

  3. Send your photos

    Email up to five photos to HappyBubbles@SunnyJShores.com with PHOTOS and your mersona in the subject line.

    Your page goes live on the next update date: the 5th, 15th or 25th of the month.

Who the directory is for

Mermaids and mermen, performers, underwater models, instructors, tail makers, underwater photographers and filmmakers, safety divers, schools and pods. Professionals and hobbyists can all list for free. Founding member pages are for anyone who wants a full page, and we are asking working professionals first.
