About the registerThe Directory
Send one link instead of a scroll through your feed. Your page holds your photos, bio, CV and socials on a site made for mermaids, and you change it yourself whenever you like. It is open to mermaids, mermen, hobbyists, performers, models, instructors, tail makers, underwater photographers, safety divers, schools and pods.

$7 a year
Certificates are delivered direct in the US and EU. Other countries are posted on by hand, with shipping quoted before you pay.
Profile sites for models and performers commonly charge $6 to $20 a month. A member page here costs $7 for the whole year.
Mermaid Universe Quarterly
Four issues a year, on paper, made to be kept. Each issue carries the stories and the trade in one cover: who is performing, what the work pays, who makes the tails, and what is coming next. Issue One is in production.
Single copies of the retail edition are printed and shipped by Lulu.
Order direct from us and the four centre pages are yours: you as a mermaid, from your own photos or in your own tail. Your own cover is an add-on.
If you work as a mermaid or run a shop, school or pod, order the standard edition at trade, one copy or in bulk, and sell it at your own events.
We publish interviews, short stories, photo features and first-hand accounts from the mermaid community. Anyone can submit. Members' pieces are more likely to be published, and we say so up front. Tick the box on the sign-up form and we will send you the submission details.
The Pearl Awards
The Pearl Awards give mermaids from Instagram, Reddit and the performing world a stage of their own. Nomination is free. The shortlist is printed in the quarterly, and a Pearl Awards winner appears on the retail cover.
What each pearl honours will be announced when nominations open. Join the directory and you will hear first.
The Casting Register
The Mermaid Movie is an independent film in development at ZonKlast Studios, based on Weight of Salt, Book One of The Mermaid Chronicles. When roles and crew positions open, we look in the register first and contact the people who match.
The register is free, open to every country, and for people aged 18 or over. It is a standing register with no closing date. Being on it is not an offer of a role.
